Debora Billings, Secretary - Orthodontic Assistant
Debora's duties include Dolphin Imaging cephalometric tracings, expenses, advertising and personnel payroll.
She has worked in orthodontics and with Dr. Billings since 1979.
Debora's favorite thing about orthodontics is working with patients who are excited about improving their smiles.
Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is that he has a great sense of humor and is very considerate and caring toward his patients and staff.
She loves watching patients' confidence grow as their smiles become beautiful!
Debora is a native of Mitchell, SD, and has lived in Platte County since 1965.
She has a husband, Steve, sons Branson and Duncan, and daughters Abbey, Kenzie, and Crystal.
Her hobbies are being with her kids (they are her favorite hobby!), watching sports (NASCAR, Chiefs, Royals), supporting Young Life activities,
and dinner out with her husband.
Donna Bockover, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Donna’s duties include chair side work on the patients, setting up bondings,
and ordering supplies. She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1981
and has been with Dr. Billings since 1985. Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings
is his sense of humor and his exceptional care of our patients. She loves getting
to know many different people, helping to create beautiful smiles, and seeing
the changes along the way. Donna is a native of Fort Smith, Arkansas and has
lived in Kansas City, Missouri since 1954. She has a husband, Rick, sons Brian
and Ben, step-daughter Nichole, grandson Austin, daughters-in-law Robin and Jennifer.
Her activities outside work include spending time with her husband and family
and she enjoys being outside working on flowers and brushing her dogs.
Jackie Fiorino, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Jackie's duties include bonding and placing braces, removing and bending wires, and sterilization of equipment.
She has worked in orthodontics since 1987
and has worked with Dr. Billings since 1997.
Her favorite thing about orthodontics is turning a crooked smile into a perfect smile, giving patients more confidence and self esteem.
Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is the way he treats his patients as if they were his family.
She loves giving self esteem and confidence to people!
Jackie is a local native and and has lived in Kansas City since 1987.
She has a husband, Mark, and daughter, Katelin, and is involved in her daughter's dance, gymnastics and soccer.

Jane Hund, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Jane's duties include taking X-rays, making models, changing archwires, sterilization and stocking.
Jane has worked in orthodontics since 1989
and has worked with Dr. Billings since 1999.
Her favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing the kids improve and grow
and enjoys working with the staff at Dr. Billings's office.
Jane's favorite thing about her job is meeting the patients and their parents and seeing the smiles grow.
Jane is a native of Leavenworth, KS, and has a husband, David, daughter Laura, and son Adam.
Peggy Johnston, Appointment Secretary
Peggy's duties include answering phones, making appointments, and office work.
She has worked in orthodontics and with Dr. Billings since 1997.
Her favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing the great smiles she helps make.
Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is seeing his expertise with each case and his interaction with patients.
She enjoys interaction with patients and parents.
A native of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Peggy has lived in Kansas City since 1954.
She has a husband, Richard, and sons Greg and Jed.
Her hobbies include church, music, photography, sewing and flowers.
Debra Ostrander, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Debbie’s duties include placing braces, removing braces, wire changing,
x-rays, and impressions. She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1988
and has been with Dr. Billings since 2000. Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings
is his professionalism in his work. She loves working with the patients and seeing
the end results in their smiles. Debbie is a native of Stewartsville, Missouri
but has lived in Gower, Missouri most of her life since 1972. She has a husband,
Steve, daughter Alyssa, and son Aaron. Her activities outside work include teaching
4th and 5th grade Sunday school, various school and church activities, time with
her family and friends, boating, biking, and shopping.

Mary Phillips, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Mary’s duties include working chair side placing braces and changing
arch wires. She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 1975 and has
been with Dr. Billings since 1990. Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is
that he is very particular in working to give the patient the best smile possible.
She enjoys working with the patients all patients, children and adults, seeing
them change, and getting to know them. Her favorite thing about her job is
helping to make a beautiful smile and getting to see it in the end. Mary is
a native of Kansas City and has lived in Birmingham since 1982. She has a husband,
Craig, daughters Jessica and Shyla, and son Travis. Her activities outside
work include crafting, making jewelry, sewing, horseback riding, staying as
close to her children and family as possible, and keeping in touch with friends.
Teresa Slavens, Appointment Consultant
Teresa’s duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, daily
chart preparation, setting up new charts, scanning x-rays into computer, recalls,
etc. She has worked in the field of orthodontics and been with Dr. Billings
since 2001. Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is that he is the best boss
in the whole world. She enjoys working with people and following them from
start to finish. Teresa is a native of Wichita, Kansas and has lived in Parkville,
Missouri since 2001. She has a husband, Pete, daughter Kelli, son Andrew, dog
Cooper, and cat Simon. Her activities outside work include riding motorcycles
and playing with her animals.
 Diana
Spence, Orthodontic Assistant
Diana’s duties include records, banding, reties, and changing arch wires.
She has worked in the field of orthodontics since 2005 and has been with Dr.
Billings since 2005. Diana’s favorite thing about Dr. Billings is his genuine
concern for others. She loves being part of a team that helps to change the way
people view themselves and she enjoys seeing the patients smile when the treatment
is complete. She is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and has lived in the area
since she was born in 1982. She has a husband, Nathan, mom Ann Lay, and sister
Angela Hursig. Her activities outside work include spending time with family
and friends and being active in her wellness business.
Denise Stamper, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Denise’s duties include monthly appliance adjustments, bending wires,
x-rays, impressions, and assisting Dr. Billings. She has worked in the field
of orthodontics since 1996 and been with Dr. Billings since 1999. Her favorite
thing about Dr. Billings is that he is very kind, understanding, and he makes
the work environment fun. She loves making people smile and the excitement
that the patients have at the removal of their braces. She enjoys working with
both children and adult patients and getting to know them personally over the
course of treatment. She is a native of Liberty, Missouri and has lived in
Lawson since 2005. She has a husband, Steve, and daughter Myah. Her activities
outside work include being outdoors with her family.
Mary Vogel, Treatment Coordinator
Mary’s duties include assisting Dr. Billings with treatment presentations,
financial issues, contracts, and insurance. She has worked in the field of
orthodontics since1968 and has been with Dr. Billings since 2002. Her favorite
thing about Dr. Billings is that his #1 priority is to deliver the highest
quality of orthodontic treatment possible. She says she is proud to be a
part of that standard, loves to watch the patients grow to love their smile
as their bite improves and thinks it’s great to see their self-esteem
and pride improve as well. She really enjoys getting to meet the patients
and families during the treatment presentations. Mary is a native of Jefferson
City, Missouri and has lived in the Kansas City area since 1994. She has
a husband, Sam, daughter Sarah, son Jacob, son-in-law Brent, daughter-in-law
Jana, and grandsons Brock and Trevor. Her hobbies include spending time with
her husband and family, watching movies, pitching horseshoes, fishing, sports,
shopping, and decorating her home.
 Emilee
West,
Financial Administrator
Emilee’s duties include financial analysis and reporting, accounting and financial issues, daily transaction report and deposit reconciliation, month-end reconciliation, accounts receivable including insurance, monitoring and collection of accounts receivable aging, and billing. Responsible for integration and management of OrthoBanc, LLC within the office. She has worked in the field of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics since 1991 and has been with Dr. Billings since 2006. Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is that he is a man of integrity and a wonderful family man. As a former pediatric dental assistant she has seen the perfectionism of his work for over fifteen years and says her children would be patients of Dr. Billings even if she wasn’t employed here because he is clearly the best. She really enjoys having the opportunity of being a part of a team that makes the financial obligation a possibility for everyone and she loves seeing the gorgeous smiles Dr. Billings gives the patients along with the new found self-assurance once the braces come off. Emilee has two sons, Nathan and Alden. Her activities outside of work include walking, running, rollerblading or just being outside with her boys, cooking, traveling, and watching her children play sports.
Alison Wolfe, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Alison works in the lab and chairside.
She has worked in orthodontics since 1982
and has worked with Dr. Billings since 1986.
Her favorite thing about orthodontics is the finished product and she likes
working with the kids. She enjoys Dr. Billings's sense of humor and says
he is funny, but serious.
Alison is a native of Faucett, MO, and has lived in Gladstone since 1988.
Her family includes her mother, Mary, father Harold, brother David, sister
Jenifer, sister-in-law Shelly, brother-in-law Robert, nephew Sam, and nieces
Shawna, Kelsey, Taylor, Caitlin, and Leah.
She enjoys watching her nieces play basketball and softball.
Deanna Sellars, Patient Care Coordinator
Deanna’s duties include Dolphin Imaging-cephalometric tracings, treatment presentations, scheduling, setting up house calls, and Ortho Sesame. She has worked in the field of Dentistry since 1984 and in the Orthodontic field since 1996. She has worked for Dr. Billings since 2007. Her favorite thing about Dr. Billings is that he strives for the perfect case with every patient, he supports the surrounding schools, and he is fun to work with! She truly loves seeing the beautiful smiles on happy faces when the treatment is complete. She enjoys her job because she likes getting to know the families and working with such talented and respected co-workers. Deanna is a native of Platte County, Missouri and has lived in Platte City since 1973. She has a husband, Duane, and daughters, Lyndsie and Taylor. Outside of work Deanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being at the lake, and supporting her daughters sporting events.
Alicia Gardner, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Alicia’s duties include appliance adjustments, x-rays, impressions, bonds, and assisting the doctor. She has worked in the field of Orthodontics since 1998 and has been with Dr. Billings since 2007. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Billings is that she knows she is working for a well respected Orthodontist and she likes the respect and acknowledgment he gives to his patients and employees. She enjoys getting to meet new patients and seeing the end results and her favorite thing about her job is the patients and her co-workers. She is a native of Missouri and daughter of Judy and Ray Bates. Outside of work her activities are sewing, dance, and camping.
